I see what you mean, Otis. I guess I wasn't really putting that much thought into it when I first thought of the idea though. I really only thought of it as a humorous addition to the breed name, since well, if you have a dog, you deal with the poop. (I think this blog post is going to hit #1 for the word "poop" any moment now... LOL)

The thing about using a word like "Faithful" is that not all breeds can be described as such, at least not as much as other breeds. Of course, looking at it another way, I'm personally faithful to the breed. I'll never own anything other than greyhounds (or at least, not unless I can ALSO have a greyhound). So you have that switch up too.

I hate putting this much thought into a domain... lol I've only posted this after a friend recommended I get some feedback. In my head, it was just a cutesy way to connect all the blogs together.

Here's the thing... the domain name examples suggest to me this is "about" poop rather than "about" the dogs that create that poop. I think there is an audience for that but not what you intended. SFGate has a blog for young parents called "The Daily Poop"... why then is that ok? I think because people think of kids as multifaceted beings but for dogs the poop is much more front and center. So while I like the double meaning of "poop" which can also be news I really don't think this can be made to work.

"GreyhoundSpirit" doesn't do much for me either. "GreyhoundFaithful" I like as long as that is indeed an accurate reflection of your brand personality...

Lara - I like the idea of GreyhoundPoop.com or GreyhoundScoop.com, but as to GreyhoundSpirit.com it doesn't seem to grab ya - at least for me. Thanks for allowing input. Best to you.

I think going with the poop names gives everyone a cheap laugh and is something people might remember.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions, Nacie! I appreciate you taking the time!

I do like the word faithful! It's cute and does go both directions. :)

Hey Lara - I totally appreciate your originality with these domain names - finding ones that standout and are memorable is a real challenge! However, I am not a huge fan of the poopiness myself...what about going with a more traditional angle like four legged friend, companion or faithful? GreyhoundFaithful.com, etc might be catchy because it could indicate those who are dedicated to greyhounds and the loyalty of the dogs at the same time...?

Just a thought - best of luck in your decision!

Nacie
